This is the part of marxist theory I disagree with the most, vanguard parties are not inmune from the traps of hierarchies just because of their ideologies. When you select a portion of the population to lead, it'll almost always devolve into a ruling class, just what marxism wanted to avoid. True liberation comes from genuine compromise within every citizen, and that can't be achieved if political decisions are delegated. Any power structure will attract to the top the most power hungry, that's how authoritarianism happens.
