FIFO shift change days. Basically over night stay in Darwin before early flights either to remote sites or home. Now I did see lots of military turn up last thurs when I flew in so might be military movements as well. But yeah on my project we have rotation of up to a hundred per week

I’ve toured Darwin a lot hit & miss last tour was in June 2026 omg it was the worst tour ever ! 28 time wasters all no shows & cancelations I had 3 bookings in 5 days there 😭

Be mindful what weekend you go up there too, or do a bit of research , last weekend would of been the go with the V8s on. A lot of people be a bit short this weekend plus there Adelaide River Rodeo and half the territory go to Burnett Down's races, rodeo, campdraft which is also on this weekend. Also might help if your regular and can tell them when your coming next to build that clientele.🙂 Have fun, go check out Litchfield Park if you have spare time and haven't already been. Or something closer , heaps to see. Midal beach markets might be on tomorrow afternoon.🙂

Usually Saturday is the most busy night of the week here in Vancovuer but the World Cup is happening and now it’s turning into working during the weekdays also, I hate working during the day lol.

I hear you, been doing this for for quite a few years as permanent and the majority are time wasters. Want instant booking, try to negotiate price, cancel last minute, won't book if they have to make deposit, lack class, only want week day bookings generally Mon-Weds mostly evening about 830/930 maybe 1030 no earlier no later. weekends are a no go or start to call at 4/6 am. No flexibility. It definitely would be a tricky place to navigate touring. Sorry you had a bad experience.
