@thephysiofix: 🚨 Your hip flexors might NOT actually be tight… 🚨 Part 1 of 3 Did you know that feeling “tight” doesn’t always mean your hip flexors are actually short? Sometimes they’re shortened. Sometimes they’re normal length but still feel tight. Knowing the difference can completely change what you should do next. Try the Thomas Test. Use a sturdy table, countertop, or boxes—just make sure your leg has room to hang freely and you’re sitting right at the edge. Pull one knee toward your chest and let the opposite leg fully relax. 👉 Can your thigh reach horizontal (or below)? ✅ If YES: Your hip flexor probably isn’t limited by muscle length, so strengthening and improving control may be the better place to start. ❌ If NO: Your hip flexor may actually be shortened and stretching could help. Over the next 2 days, I’ll show you some of my favorite exercises for both outcomes so you’ll know exactly what to do next. 💬 Comment HIPS if you don’t want to miss Parts 2 & 3! #hipflexors #hipmobility #hippain #mobility #physicaltherapy
