@benmcbee: June 24th 1987 the Mel Brooks sci-fi parody “Spaceballs” hit the theaters making $6.6 million in its opening weekend. The film received mixed reviews at the time however went on to become a cult classic even spawning a sequel due to be released next year: a short 40 years later.
