Some tips as a Brazilian who lived in heat having no AC - two (as cold as you can get it) showers a day, don’t completely dry yourself with a towel before putting on your clothes. Last shower must be right before you go to bed. Sleep with minimal/cotton or linen clothing only. Only cotton bedsheets to cover yourself no blankets. Fan on max and make sure to stay hydrated having cold drinks to cool down if you can. Limit activity around night time so you aren’t heating up or getting sweaty as well.

The Cold air around the tub of ice gets sucked in by the blades behind the fan and expels outwards towards wherever you've placed the fan. It genuinely does work. You just have to be arsed in the heat to keep changing it every often
