I understand dancing in some casses many people want their funeral to he a celebration of the life they have lived not the life they have lost if that makes sense id love for people to dance and have fun and co tinue to be alive at my own but I also understand how that might offend or make other uncomfortable

Meanwhile, I discreetly placed a small wood box that I GLUED SHUT with a private letter inside it and a little token of remembrance by my granddad's hip in his casket and one of the family members took it upon themselves to reach into the closed part of the casket to pull it out, break it open, and read my letter. Then shared it around the rest of the family and somehow I was the bad guy because I wrote on the letter that while I understood he was sick with Alzheimer's, I couldn't forgive him for the abuse he put me and my dad through for years but I hoped he had found peace now. I was 17 and the family member who pulled the box out was 40+ years old.

My step daughter made a spectacle of herself at my late husband's funeral, she was 29, and my younger daughters and the rest of the family actually yelled at her afterwards. This was a Baptist Church in WV and most of the people didn't even know who she was. I was mortified and asked her not to come to the reception. She literally threw herself on the floor and was screaming and sobbing, but you could tell it was all fake for attention.
