@mtn.alice: Helmet or no helmet for the Wasatch Ultimate Ridge Linkup? Obviously I should just make a decision for myself based on my own risk assessment instead of crowdsourcing an opinion... but entertain me :-)
I recreate in wasatch and never wear a helmet. however, I don't climb and if I'm doing something "riskier", it's going to be something like Pfeifferhorn, if you are familiar with that terrain.

I always wear it climbing but never around the Wasatch. I didn’t do enough to warrant it. That said, I’d experiment with ways to attach it to your vest so you have the option if you want it. Better to put time/thought into it now and then realize you want it and need a last minute fix?

Climbing the BCC/LCC ridgelines always felt sketchy with how crumbly that rock is. I’d go helmet after living there 4 years

a lot of people do fall on sections like Mount Superior, all the time. take that as a grain of salt.

If you’re questioning yourself on whether to bring it or not, just bring it! 😁
