More regulations for the safety of both horse and rider need to be put in place. Example: jumps need to break, like in show jumping, and need to be far less extreme. We have very horse friendly courses out where I live to XC school, and the jumps are much more ethical and enjoyable.

everything about this discipline stresses me out SO much. the way they give the horse no release over jumps, the SOLID jumps, the uneven terrain, the size of the jumps, the poor footing at times

eh not banned but instead redesigned with the horse's safety in mind. bc I wanna do XC but idk entirely since im a western rider n id want also to keep my horse safe then do something I want to do knowing the risks

at least on these levels it just shouldn't happen. there are so many horse friendly courses but for some reason on the higher level of it it just stops caring about the horse and only about who can get their horse across.
