Update: Baislee fell asleep at 9:30 pm last night. Didn’t wake up until 1:30pm today despite trying to wake her up several times. We took her to the doctor. They say she has ear infections. She went back to sleep by 3:30pm and is still asleep at 6:30pm. She’s had ear infections before and has never slept like this. I worry something else is wrong. But I’m also afraid to take her to the ER because she’s so complex that things don’t show up as they typically do in other children so unless I have a gut feeling about what’s wrong, it usually takes the doctors a while to figure it out. Which means a lot of tests and a lot of pain for Baislee. The plan we came up with is if she doesn’t seem to have some type of improvement after a few doses of the antibiotic then we’ll take her to the ER. I’m mentally not prepared to deal with the medical trauma or PTSD so let’s hope we don’t get to that point.
