Here are 5 of the most painful #perimenopause symptoms we hear from our patients… give yourself 1 point for each! 🏆🫠 If you’re in perimenopause, I’m sure you are no stranger to chronic pain and inflammation. (No, you aren’t being dramatic 🥹) Estrogen fluctuations affect collagen synthesis, connective tissue health, nerve signaling, and inflammatory response. So when estrogen levels drop, tendons become less resilient & more prone to injury. Your joints become less lubricated & inflamed. And your nerves become hyper sensitive and easily irritated. This is the perfect storm for painful perimenopause symptoms such as… 1️⃣ Gluteal Tendinopathy/Tendinitis 2️⃣ Migraines 3️⃣ Frozen Shoulder 4️⃣ Sciatica As for the UTI-like symptoms… Estrogen helps maintain the thickness, elasticity, and protective microbiome of the vąginaI and urethral tissues. When estrogen drops, these tissues become thinner, drier, and more vulnerable to irritation and bacterial overgrowth, which can lead to frequent UTIs or painful UTI-like symptoms. 😣 If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms & you’re curious about how hormone therapy can help, we would absolutely love to work with you! 🫶🏻 🩺📲 If you’re in the US, & you’re interested in exploring hormone optimization, feel free to go to the 🔗 in my bio to book a free 30 minute call with my team to learn how to get started. 🤗 #hormonehealth #womenover30 #womenover40 #hormonalimbalance
