Respectfully I did exactly that for 4 years. I did low carb eating and worked out 3-5 times a week. Lost 65lbs. Suddenly hit 45 and weight started adding back on. Nothing I did helped. Doctors sent me to a nutritionist they put me on a low fat calorie deficit diet. In 2 months doing what they told me to do I gained 20lbs. Thats when I finally asked about the other options.

It’s not just to avoid hunger, it helps with insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, water, retention, cardiovascular health, and several other benefits. Some people have health issues that makes it more difficult for them to lose weight and they shouldn’t be shamed for that.

I used think that way too until my dr put me on medication. Only losing 1lb a week, but I do strength training 3-4 times a week, I hike at least 10m a week, only everything I eat and drink 2L of water. I am on this medication and I am also doing the work✌️
