It depends on the number of months you have been paying. One who pays a year is given a year after notice to vacate the house. One who pays three months is given three months. There are other conditions that should be followed and the tenant can use them against the land lord also.

It depends on the rental agreement you signed. The notice can be six months if you agreed so. After after the notice if the tenant fails to vacate you still need a court order to evict the tenant.

It was three months,but the law changed,I think in the new landlord tenant Act of 2021 or 2019,the new law,so to say,which is one month of notice.Go get the Act from Uganda bookshop, opposite Christ the King church.
