@theromanknox: There are now three ways to show up in search. Most ecommerce brands still optimize for just one. 𝗦𝗘𝗢 — what you already know. Ranking product pages on Google with keywords, backlinks, clean descriptions. Still matters. Just no longer enough on its own. 𝗔𝗘𝗢 — optimizing for AI Overviews. Search "best running shoes for flat feet" and Google answers at the top, before any links. If your brand isn't in that answer, you're invisible — even ranking #3. 𝗚𝗘𝗢 — the newest one. Getting AI to recommend your product by name. Ask ChatGPT "what's a good moisturizer for dry skin" and it doesn't hand you 10 links. It gives one or two names. Not recommended = you don't exist to that shopper. People don't scroll anymore. They ask AI and trust the first answer. Old search: Rank higher → Get clicks → Maybe convert New search: Be the answer → Get recommended → Win the sale 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵: 𝗦𝗘𝗢 → Keep the foundation strong. Optimized pages, backlinks, fast site. 𝗔𝗘𝗢 → Structure content around real questions. FAQ pages, comparison guides, "best X for Y" articles. Google pulls answers from content that answers directly. 𝗚𝗘𝗢 → Get mentioned where AI learns. Reviews, Reddit threads, niche publications, expert roundups. AI recommends what it's already seen recommended. This is where search is heading. The only question is whether your brand shows up when someone asks.
