@thequidsquid: The government has found a way to close an ISA loophole, and not everyone is happy about it. 💷 From April 2027, the Cash ISA limit for under-65s is set to fall from £20,000 to £12,000. Your overall ISA allowance stays at £20,000, but the remaining £8,000 must go into a Stocks & Shares ISA. 💡 Some people thought they could sidestep this by putting cash into a Stocks & Shares ISA without investing it and simply earning interest instead. ⚠️ Under the proposed changes, those cash gains could face a 22% charge, closing that loophole automatically. 📊 In reality, around two-thirds of Cash ISA savers contribute less than £12,000 a year anyway, so most people won’t be affected directly. The bigger issue is that the tax system keeps getting more complicated. 🤔 Do you think these changes encourage investing, or just make managing your money harder? #PersonalFinance #financialeducation #isas #news #creatorsearchinsights
