No Teflon tap needed speedy. Just a little bit of Teflon pipe dope between ferrule and angle stop is good enough.

you don't use tape on a compression fitting. it is absolutely worthless. seals nothing.

There’s literally nothing at all that tape is going to hurt at all.. going the little bit of extra mile .🤷🏼♂️maybe.. but there right. It’s not needed on that compression fit

Aren’t you supposed to secure the copper pipe while tightening? If you look closely when tightening the new fitting, the entire copper pipe rotates
