@thenourishedcycleau: A 2 day bleed is often not normal, here's what we may be able to improve. 🩸 Knowing **your normal** is one of the most important parts of understanding your cycle. That said, a consistently short 2–3 day bleed can sometimes be a sign that something further upstream deserves attention. If you're trying to improve a short bleed, these are some of the first things I look at: ✨ Are you eating enough? For many women, 1,200–1,500 calories simply isn't enough. We often want to see at least 1,800 calories, and frequently more depending on the individual. ✨ Are you getting enough protein and carbohydrates to support hormone production? ✨ Are you exercising appropriately—not overtraining while under-fuelling? ✨ How's your sleep? Hormones love consistency. ✨ What's happening with stress? Your brain and ovaries are constantly talking. ✨ Are you missing key nutrients? Depending on the person, nutrients such as B vitamins, magnesium and taurine may be helpful pieces of the puzzle. Remember: the goal isn't necessarily a longer period. The goal is understanding why **your** bleed is the length it is and whether that's normal for **your** body. And if you're approaching menopause, shorter and lighter bleeds can be a completely normal part of the transition. ❤️ #ttc #PeriodHealth #HormoneHealth #MenstrualCycle #WomensHealth
