@historybyhumans: In 1967, Woody Allen invited 17-year-old Twiggy on his show and tried to publicly humiliate her on live television. It did not go the way he planned. Allen had built his career on being the intellectual in the room. Asking a teenage model who her favourite philosopher was in front of a live audience was designed to make him look smart and her look like an airhead. Twiggy was desperately trying not to cry, but she turned it straight back on him. "I haven't got one. Whose is yours?" Allen scrambled. "I like them all." She pressed him further. He couldn't answer. He walked off his own set and refused to finish. In 2025, Twiggy said, "If he interviewed me again now, I'd probably punch him." Hosted by @hennasahota for History Photographed
