I'm defending AI use in most cases, but this is a disaster. with that said, the disaster is only amplified by AI, science journals and the whole model is the actual problem, only. solution to this is nationalising the journals, so journals are publicly funded and free access, and independently run and managed (preferably by Universities and institutes).

to get accepted from a journal and publish papers, havinga prestigious name (like this professor) has more impact than the papers itself, if someone with no degree and noname try to do same they probably will be rejected
