@mo__yuo: imo it’s the author’s fault, male 2nd leads are always written to be lovable and easy to sympathize with while female 2nd leads are usually reduced to being jealous, petty, or problematic and even when they’re not, ppl still hate them. Jennette from WMMAP literally did nothing and ppl acted like she committed a crime. Ayla got dragged just for being clingy to the ML who was literally her fiancé😭!!! meanwhile Dohwa was clingy to the FL too and everyone found it cute🤷🏻♀️. same with Kyle and Dia. Kyle followed his parents’ wishes and -most- ppl understood where he was coming from (me included✌🏻) but Dia did the exact same thing and she’s been getting hated on ever since. and then there’s Violet from TCSM, she literally did nothing except being the ML’s fiancée and still got hated on😍💔. atp female 2nd leads could just stand there and breathe and ppl would still find a reason to hate them.
