The thing about Nigerian hairstylists is that majority of them dont know how to handle natural hair or how to blow dry properly. No proper training or knowledge whatsoever. I shouldn’t be teaching you how to section and gently blowdry my hair on an appropriate heat setting when its your job not mine. Which almost always used to leave my hair damaged and falling out when id take the braids out. I feel like Brazilians hairstylists (especially Afro-brazilian) know exactly how to handle curly hair because most of them actually care about and take care of their natural hair!! Yes the process in Brazil is much slower becase you won’t have 4-5 people doing your hair at once, but i’ll take 2 high quality stylists over 4 low quality stylists any day. I paid $140 for this style that theyre now charging 500k for in Lagos. Madness 😭 #braidsinrio #braidsinlagos #bohobraids
