#fypviralシ #crimenews #Chertsey #surrey #KevinKerjean A 31‑year‑old man has been charged after a two‑year‑old girl was found dead at a flat in Chertsey, Surrey. Emergency services were called to a property on Pycroft Road on Thursday following reports of concern for the safety of the occupants. The child was discovered unresponsive inside the home shortly before 18:00. Kevin Kerjean, 31, has been charged with murder, rape of a child under 13, and sexual assault of a child under 13. Surrey Police initially reported the victim as aged three but confirmed on Saturday she was two. The force said the incident is believed to have occurred “within a family setting”, and its major crime team continues to lead the investigation. Kerjean, a French national born in the Central African Republic, appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded ahead of a further hearing at Guildford Crown Court on Monday. Floral tributes have been placed at the entrance to Syward Place, opposite Chertsey Social Club. Steward Kevin Quirk said he saw “police cars and ambulances everywhere” at around 18:00, with the area taped off and an air ambulance landing nearby. Residents described the area as usually quiet and safe, with many expressing shock at the scale of the emergency response. Detective Chief Superintendent Jon Groenen said: “This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the child’s family, as well as all those who knew her. Our teams are working hard to build a picture of what happened, and a significant police presence will remain in Pyrcroft Road over the coming days.”
