was in NL shortly after monuments were removed and you're right, the Dutch people were grateful for the US troops and tended to the monuments with honor and dignity.

For ALL of MAGA: If you're still defending Pres. Trump claiming he is not a racist, here is your proof that he is. His claim about DEI was that white American children shouldn't be made to feel ashamed of their heritage. So, tell me, what does removing these plaques from a WWII cemetery in the Netherlands have to do with white children in America? Odds are against them ever knowing the plagues where there. I certainly didn't and I've studied WWII history since high school. Yes, I knew about the WWII "Buffalo Soldiers," but I didn't know about this.

Remember this? The Battle of Bamber Bridge: Simming racial tensions reached a boiling point in June 1943 in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. When white US Military Police attempted to arrest Black soldiers at a local pub over fraternization and accusations of "mixed-race" mingling, fighting broke out, leaving one soldier dead and others severely wounded. Local English residents actively sided with the Black troops during the incident.
