specifically essie gel couture. but even more specifically, the essie gel couture top coat. that ontop of any other polish, even dollar tree polish, works wonders with right application process).

OPI (unfortunately only some shades, others are too thick, but you can mix base coat in to counteract that), normal Essie as well as their gel couture line, Orly, especially Orly. Never seen it at Walmart or Target, but I see it at TJ Maxx for half off. Take advantage of that. I got some awesome confetti toppers recently (some new Essie also pictured)

I go for Opi's "I'm not really a waitress" usually. Weird name, I know, but it's a lovely metallic red. I also use Opi's RapiDry "Hi, speed!" as a darker flat red. However, I've been trying out Essie's gel couture polish that isn't really gel. It's thicker and sturdier like gel, but it's regular polish so no risk of the problems that come along with actual gel ex. soaking, curing, etc. You use 2 coats of color and 1 top coat, no base coat. The colors are a tad limited but it's been helping me with my damaged nails. They lasted over a week for me and if you reapply top coat, they last 2 weeks. I use the shade, "Speed with style. The only one I don't recommend using is poparazzi in the shade "spice it up". It's a lovely color but you will need 2+ coats of base coat or your nails will be stained cheeto orange.

I use Essie gel couture. Lasts for over a week. If you use the regular Essie with the gel top coat, the polish lasts.

OPI is my go to for colors but the Seche Vite fast dry top coat with make any nail polish last and not chip! That top coat is literally a game changer and would definitely recommend!!

I like indie brands, they have more variety of different finishes and glitters. Crème colors don’t interest me anymore. Holo Taco is available at Ulta now.
