I think that's quite normal. seeing other natives makes us feel good because we're all family, all one. when I traveled out of town and state I spotted some natives and it made me feel at home and somehow peaceful. I always try to talk to a native or make sure I give them a kind smile so they know they're not by themselves.

During my time stationed in Virginia, I absolutely loved meeting other Natives, it always made me happy knowing I wasn't alone. I once met another Navajo on my ship, he became my brother but left the ship shortly after.

it's all like that all around. you have too it's because we're a minority and we appreciate seeing our own people wherever we go. it's uplifting to meet another native out in the world. not like the powwow or ceremonies. but yeah out in the world it's so uplifting to see and meet them and to talk with them and to hear them out is so awesome to connect with another native out in the world.

I love when people spot me and don't ' assume I am Asian or Mexican! ( nothing wrong with them) But I am so proud of my heritage and I do look like all my native prople!! Since day one I've been asking, Are you Native? It creates a type of connection. Ran into a TSA agent while traveling and he asked me what tribe I was from and he was so happy to run into another Native.
