Or try the Toynbee: pinch your nose and swallow. Use gently—if you feel resistance, stop. → Ibuprofen every 6-8 hours for pain. Warm compress on the ear. Saline rinse. Swallow, chew gum, yawn. Most cases resolve in about a week. But if you have sudden hearing loss, vertigo, or drainage—see an ENT right away.
