It must be awful to be a writer, esp fantasy, and to want your world and characters - who you LOVE - to be accurately adapted and know the immense risk you take if you move forward with a series or movie where you don’t have full control over the screen writing. And I imagine it’s almost impossible to have an adaption where you keep that control, at least if you aren’t established in that world
