if you dont mention the word, she won't think about it too much. I dont mention bebe (my daughter's sippy for her naps) so much and she won't miss it when she doesnt have it. usually she'll want it in her mouth constantly (for comfort) but if she doesnt see it & I dont say the word, she goes on with her day. its rough out here with an 18 month old

I seen someone do a goodbye to the paci with like putting it in a build a bear and having toddler say bye but knowing its always there and they can hug the bear

It was so hard! I tried everything. I finally just let him put it up that morning and when he asked for it at bed times I kept him busy with singing. After he fell asleep and woke up next morning he never asked for it again!

Weaning is so hard! It took my son probably a week to adjust! We went from just having it at night to slowly take it away to being able to take it all the way away. It was hard! But now he won’t stop talking lmao

It gets easier I promise I completely took it away during the day because we only used it for nap time and for bedtime and I wanna say it’s been about three months and mind you I have a two month old and she doesn’t even try to get her either

I had a fake puppet duck eat his binki in front of him and every time he would ask for it I would tell him the duck ate it and it worked really well he doesn’t ask for it anymore 🌟

i tried this around the same age. then I decided to wait till my daughter was ready. right before she turned 4. she thru it away on her own, we celebrated getting her a toy. it was the best decision! for so many different reasons. its a soothing and comfort thing.

I started watching how to get rid of paci videos on tik tok and she watched one that said bye bye paci then I she started saying bye bye paci and I cut the top off of it and after that night she always said bye bye paci during nap and night time!
