Leaves and hair and anything organic are the easiest way to get flow into a design. I freehand the leaves almost every time because no matter how good your drawing is, a stencil on a body that wraps is never going to land in the exact spot you need it. So I draw the leaves and the hair on at the border and let them fall off the edge where the body tells me to. That way it fits the person instead of fitting the paper, and I can end the leaves on an angle, which keep the edges from looking cut off.
