@souloftorah: King Solomon presents a series of sharp contrasts: the fate of the wicked and the salvation of the righteous; the degradation of beauty without wisdom; the paradox of generosity that increases wealth; and the blessing that flows from a giving soul. Verse 21: “Assuredly, the evil man shall not be unpunished; but the seed of the righteous shall escape.” Rashi explains that God’s justice is certain, the wicked will receive their due, while the righteous and their children will be saved. Verse 22: “A golden ring in a swine's snout, is a beautiful woman without discretion.” The Radak teaches that beauty without wisdom is like a precious ornament in a filthy place, it is degraded and worthless. Verse 24: “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth only to want.” Giving generously leads to increase; hoarding leads to loss. This is the paradox of charity. Verse 25: “The liberal soul shall be made fat; and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” The one who blesses others will be blessed; the one who gives drink will himself be refreshed.#psalms #psalm #jewishtiktok #torahsoul #souloftorah
