I’m guessing the usage has changed simply because those using ETH are experiencing the gas fees. ERC20 tokens are like using a pager. Things fees are high. Energy consumption high. The only reason ETH got traction was because the tech was stolen but included smart contracts. The problem is proof of work bs proof of stake. Ripple didn’t put in smart contracts because it clogs the system. Then came Flare. Do your research and choose with your best guess. We know the government that are responsible for making the rules don’t always get it right. A better example. BTC. Store of value. Wonder why. I’ll tell you. To much money in bitcoin to pull that plug. Just saying.
