The only reason a person would get into drug running and the like is to be flashy - what sort of humble and minimalist person offloads narcotics by the metric ton? That’s what always makes me laugh about these movies talking about ‘being low key’ and ‘staying humble’ meanwhile the bodies keep piling up as do the medical receipts.
