I tried be poly in my 20s and it did work out for the most part but now I'm 33 in love and I've realized I was never actually poly I just wasn't in love with any of my partners because now the thought of anything other than just me and him for the rest of our lives wrecks me.

I am in Portland and have really tried polyamory repeatedly for years with all the reprocessing, therapy and shadow work. It still gives me a tummy ache and I’m just tired. So grateful for what I’ve learned and I’m ready to take that into a monogamous relationship.

I like the concept of polyamorous relationships, and I love the idea of multiple people being able to love one another equally and deeply, but I have yet to see that be the case and it makes me very sad for them
