@redrabbit.travel: 🇯🇵 Why does taking a taxi in Japan feel so expensive? 🚕Most travelers only understand this after they arrive. In Japan, taxi fares usually start at around 400–500 JPY, but that only covers a very short distance. 🤗After that, it increases based on distance + time, and there is no fixed limit. For example: 10 km → around 3,000–5,000 JPY 20 km → easily 6,000–10,000+ JPY There are also extra costs: 🌙 Night surcharge 🛣️ Highway tolls 🏙️ Higher rates in cities like Tokyo & Osaka The key point is simple: Taxis in Japan are not designed for daily travel — they are mainly for short-distance or convenience use. That’s why many travelers choose: 🚆 trains for budget travel 🚗 private transfers for luggage, families, and a smoother arrival If you don’t want to deal with transfers, luggage, or station navigation, Red Rabbit Travel 🚗 can arrange airport pickup and private transportation across Japan. 📩 #JapanTravel #tokyoprivatetour #japantaxi #TravelJapan#redrabbittravel

WonderingOutdoorWanderer :
when i had to go to the hospital, the cabs were stupid expensive. I think I paid nearly 70 usd for a short round trip in the Minota Ward. Also, ive used Red Rabbit to and from the airport and so did my travel companions. it was so much easier than riding the subway with luggages.
