buying shein second hand isn't fast fashion, but buying shein - even if you wear it for 4 years, is fast fashion. hot topic is a bit different since it's a brick and mortar store, and there's nothing wrong with treating yourself to new clothes that aren't second hand every now and again, but the alt community is built on thrifting, so I would say that if your wardrobe isn't mostly thrifted/second hand, you should expect to be treated like a poser lol
