I agree so much on Gwangjang Market. I saw the videos saying “skip it” but I loved wandering through the mountains of fabrics and hanboks and blankets as far as the eye could see, sitting at the food counters enjoying a snack, and just taking in the atmosphere. I’m so glad I didn’t miss it. Mangwon Market is great too. And I saw very few tourists compared to locals so maybe they’re not totally touristy after all?

There is this cool park near Jincheon (about 1.5 hrs SE of Seoul) where you can walk across this bridge and some other cool stuff. Awesome experience.

I paid $3.09 for 3 days includes hotspot and 100GB per day in Korea. eSIM is the way to go.

The sim thing i dont get. They install it in 2 minutes and you can pre order it online. Gwangjang is overrated and overpriced and too touristy. You have other small markets that are way better and cheaper.

If you don’t have international calling (the only good thing about t-mobile) get a hotspot at the airport, at one of that stands as you exit customs. It’s like $10 for a week and you only need one if you’re with people that are traveling together.

These are super good tips, thank you sm. I have no concrete plans to visit Korea but getting these videos on my fyp is making me seriously consider it! How long did you stay there first time around? Do you feel like it was long enough to settle in and get ur fill of the country?
