Which one are you on the trails? Slow and steady 🐢 or fast and speedy 🏃‍♀️? Tim and I were definitely Team Slow and Steady on the Manitou Incline near Colorado Springs. With 2768 steps that climb 2000 feet of elevation gain in just a mile, this hike is a steep one! Nevertheless, many people regularly run or speed hike this trail as a fitness challenge. Here are some fun stats we thought were mind boggling: 👉 The person (Greg Cummings) who holds the world record for most climbs on the Manitou incline in a single year did it over 1800 times. That’s 3-4 times/day 🤯 👉 The record for most climbs in a 24 hour period is held by ultramarathoner Brandon Stapanowich who completed 22 laps 😮‍💨 👉 The fastest person ever to hike the incline made it to the top in less than 18 minutes. By comparison, we took an hour and 45 minutes. 🏃‍♀️ #manitouincline #manitou #coloradohikes #coloradoadventures #funnyreel
