The “it’s just a game” comments are from people with such close-minded viewpoints. People assign different values and have different passions for different activities. Some people are adamant sports fans. Some people spend hundreds of hours restoring cars. Some people spend their time gardening, or crocheting, or anything else from which they derive joy. I don’t find value in those activities, but you’ll never hear me say “It’s just futbal, it’s just plants and dirt, it’s just a car”, because I respect their passion and don’t believe anyone has the right to trample upon their source of joy.
