I had this done but they went through the front. I had two lesser invasive surgeries that went through the back.

They went through my front like they did for a c-section and gallbladder surgery because I already had 2 micro lumbar discectomy on left and right side of L5-S1 on the back but my sciatic nerve had been pinched for so long it is so damaged that it will take a lifetime to heal and I don’t have a lifetime so I just do whatever I can and rest and relax whenever I can so I don’t irritate the back again and have another surgery on the vertebrae

I just had a revision on my spine.The L1 through L5 11 and 12 and S1 all done at 1 time, and I'm in terrible pain this don't do it and I have no feelings in my right toes before my whole, knee9 but now down to my toes were paralyzed now.I have feelings in my leg.Not my toes i have to go to physical therapy 3 times a week for 6 weeks.Don't do this surgery.It's too much

I've had five my last one was on Feb this time I had minimal invasive back surgery it's the worst so much pain . now nerve damage. they want to install spine stimulator. they crazy. I am seventy yrs old. I even had a spine injection last month it lasted 2 hours and that was it
