I was on snap and wic for my kids and living in public housing when I went to nursing school as a single mom. 25 years later I am in nursing leadership and upper middle class. It helped me and I am not ashamed of using it when I needed it the most to feed my children.

If you qualify for Snap you take it. Period. If I can work 40 hours a week and still qualify for Snap, that’s a system problem.

She had it right the first time when she answered, who is the biggest beneficiary of snap benefits when she answered the corporations and retailers. Walmart is the biggest beneficiaries of snap benefits. Both from customers and from employees that they do not pay enough to live so they have to get snap
