The diagonal weave, visible in that characteristic ribbed surface, distributes tension across the grain rather than against it, which is why it became the foundation of traditional workwear. It resists tearing, holds its shape wash after wash, and drapes better than a plain weave at the same weight. Ours is 285gsm cotton, substantial enough to feel like something, light enough to wear through summer without thinking about it. The side stash pockets fit tools, a notebook, or whatever needs to stay close. The g-hook belt is built into the waistband, no separate belt, no gaping at the back.
