The thing is, her bookstore wasn't what truly what she loved most, it was actually what was holding her back. She kept running it because it was her way of staying connected to her mother, but it also prevented her from moving forward. By the end of the movie, she finds something she's genuinely passionate about: writing children's books. There's also a parallel with Joe. His family's giant bookstore chain is what destroys her business, but he's also struggling to escape his family's legacy and become his own person. In the end, both of them leave behind the expectations tied to their family businesses and find themself.

i think what threw me off at first also with youve got mail was the cheating right at the beginning with them having been chatting with each other so long without their partners knowing ✋😔

Have you seen Love Again ( the texting movie) same script different characters. Throw in the movie Frozen. I did not cry through it. Maybe this is what sisterhood looks like, something I never had the great privilege to experience.

It‘s kinda funny to me, because when I saw the premise of ‚Voicemails for Isabelle“, I thought: we‘ve had that before, how is nobody comparing it to this other movie? Then I realised the other movie is a german production called ‚SMS für dich‘ (Shortmessage for you) and obviously only germanspeaking people will know it. It‘s about this girl who‘s boyfriend (I think) dies and she‘s still writing texts to his number after some years. And then there‘s this guy who gets the texts (on his newly assigned number) and becomes curious about her. He arranges for a meeting, they fall in love, yadiyada
