pretty sure that monogamy being the general standard around the globe says its less about oppression and more about natural human understandings of procreation and our responsibility to the next generation. Most heteronorms exist on their own as the general understanding of best practice for the next generation and there for the continuation of their civilization. Most homosexual hostilities come from a desire to push forward the next generation and sterile sex of any form endangers that human need. Its less about the actions and more about what the actions prevent or put in danger. This is why it is more often technological advancement that makes sterile sex less dangerous and so accepted. As the kid of a divorced couple I understand the desires for a 2 parent household made of a man and woman are the best options for the next generation to grow in.
