We all need GOD. Then Allah says, “Where were you before I sent you this warning?” Allahu Akbar. How great is Allah’s mercy! Even when we are late in turning back to Allah, He still gives us the opportunity to repent and draw closer to Him. Do you know who the first Muslim woman was to suffer torture under the burning sun for believing in Allah? It was Sumayyah binti Khayyat. She accepted Islam together with her husband, Yasir bin Amir, and their son, Ammar bin Yasir. The Quraysh tortured her because she believed in Allah. They left her under the burning desert sun and tried to force her to abandon Islam. But she never gave up her faith. In the end, Abu Jahal killed her with a spear. She did not die because of the heat alone. She was martyred after enduring terrible torture, including being left under the scorching sun. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Be patient, O family of Yasir. Indeed, your promised place is Paradise.” May Allah make us steadfast in our faith until our last breath. Ameen.
