Sister hijab is recommended to protect us. With the current climate of uk Islamophobia and global misogyny issue I don’t think it’s vital for us to wear hijab. I wore hijab for 2 years with no support from anyone. The Muslim community didn’t welcome me and I felt ostracised and I literally had no support whatsoever. And with Islamophobia I couldn’t do it anymore.

Someone telling you to take it off isn’t Islamophobia it’s just annoying seeing someone self pity them selves and can’t even have autonomy over their own body lol. You not wearing hijab doesn’t make you a bad Muslim at all.

I always wonder what is best having more skin on show or being covered up and with a hijab I know a Muslim woman on here and she dresses modestly but no hijab and she said she’s fine in the heat as she wears breathable clothes. But at the same time it’s an extra layer. It’s always confuses me and I don’t know if I should envy or feel sorry for people who wear hijabs on this heat
