@aeesh_collections: Sadly, the person that experienced this today actually asked me during the heavy thunderstorm if we switch off our inverter at home. I told her, “Yes o, we always switch it off.” Fast forward to this evening, she called me saying the inverter started sparking immediately they turned it on. It was then they realized that they only switched off the inverter itself and forgot to switch off the charge controller. Unfortunately, their house also wasn’t properly earthed. Na so dem enter serious gbese o. This is just a reminder to inverter users: during heavy rain and thunderstorms, don’t just switch off the inverter alone(we don’t even off ours , we just switch off the charge controllers) . Make sure the charge controller is turned off as well.
