ive been looking in to getting a betta fish!!i havent set up yet but im getting a 10 gallon that will be heavily planted,with natural substrate, and good lighting is there anything i need to know before i start setting up?

My local petco sometimes keeps their more weaker looking bettas aka the ones that don’t do well in the cups into the larger tanks

Yes. If we are going to use them as ornaments we should at least take good care of them. I hate these cups. Fish shouldn't be in that except during shipping.
