Im fighting for my life in these comments. ATs hand landed on her shoulder and CC moved and because they are both slippery sweaty so it slips downward à la physics. AT wasn’t even looking at her.

I agree with caitlin would have reacted. Like we know she likes to exaggerate and complain over touch calls but she didnt really do any of that just got up and got back. I think the slomo angle made it look worse than it was and thats why it wasnt even called as a regular foul during the game

Saw someone even trying to say that it wasn’t a play on the basketball because the ball wasn’t even in CC hands when AT landed on her as though she didn’t have the ball in her hand the moment AT dove to the ground. Ppl clearly don’t understand how physics (momentum + lack of friction between AT and CC due to sweat) works. Like have y’all tried falling at full speed while maintaining full control over body while someone else is also moving at full speed right next/under you

Not sure whether intentional matters. People foul during play all the time, throw elbows during a play (not maliciously), trip up a shooter by being in their landing zone, etc. Certain fouls get upgraded just due to where the contact happens. I think the discourse has completely spiraled when the real story across the W is how poorly and inconsistently the games are being officiated.
