I just rewatched seasons 1-7 and i’m on 8x2 right now. The only things that could fix season 7 was remove episode 6(tara episode) combine episode 2&3 (the well and the cell) and combine episodes 14 & 15. I love those savior centric episodes. Then for season 8 just have morgan die instead of carl even though the episode he did die and how they handled his death was very well for what it was.

i like season 8 more than seasons 10 and 11 because at least it’s typical twd fighting, scrapping, arguing so you can still enjoy it. dwight was my favourite s9 character and every scene with him was my favourite.

It wasn’t just the fact that it was a badly poor decision to kill off Karl, but the way they killed him off, too, was fucking stupid. The fact that he died for sadiq who then in turn died not too long after anyways 🤦🏻♂️😑

I think it's better than season 7 but it turned from dialogue to monologue which worked sometimes but sometimes I was like holy crap it constantly feels like they're reading a big speech from a script where as most seasons feel natural if that makes sense, but I think it's better than season 7 still

I think you hit it right on the head with the fact that when it was live, spending 2 weeks in communities we didn't care about ..makes sense why when I'm rewatching, it doesn't bother me as much (also I know where it's going now)

10 and 11 were almost UNBEARABLE in my opinion as a DIE hard fan. 8 is a cake walk compared.

Everything Rick did was for his family. While the episode itself was great cinematics, they literally took away the one thing that kept Rick going and it should've destroyed him more than they wrote. Yes he had a daughter but she didnt have the same connection him and Carl had. Rick went insane after Lori and was only reeled back in because of his need to protect Carl but losing him didn't have that same impact when it should've been worse.

I’ve always liked Season 8. Although I had the benefit of first watching it through streaming so I was able to binge it. Loved the premise of it, execution could have been better on the filler stuff. One of my favorite seasons tbh

I honestly stopped watching after they killed off Carl and I have not seen a single full episode after that point. I've seen clips here and there, but Carl's death was so stupid and so pointless that I've had no desire to watch the rest of 8 or any of 9, 10, or 11.
