Kahit saan ka pumunta, dala mo siya. Kahit natutulog ka, gigising ka, nandiyan pa rin yung bigat. Hindi mo basta-basta “itapon” kasi hindi lang ito nasa isip — nasa katawan at emosyon mo rin. Depression can affect your energy, motivation, appetite, sleep, at relationships. Hindi mo rin ito pipiliin. Walang gustong magkaroon nito. Hindi ito kahinaan, at lalong hindi ito arte. It’s a medical condition that needs understanding, compassion, at minsan professional help. Kung nararamdaman mo na parang ganito ang sitwasyon mo, tandaan mo: hindi ka nag-iisa, at hindi ka sira. Ang pinagdadaanan mo ay may pangalan — depression. At dahil may pangalan, may paraan din para gumaan at may pag-asa para gumaling. The first step is awareness. At ngayon, by listening and learning, ginawa mo na yung unang hakbang. That already means you’re moving forward.
