Owning a business at 20 is genuinely impressive, and I respect the work and responsibility that comes with that. That said, success has a way of making any of us think we’ve figured life out. Money can provide comfort, influence, and opportunities, but it can’t answer the biggest questions we’ll ever face. It can’t tell us why we’re here, what happens after we die, or what gives life lasting meaning. Success doesn’t guarantee wisdom, because every one of us has blind spots, no matter how intelligent, accomplished, or confident we are. Real humility is recognizing that we don’t know everything and remaining willing to be corrected when we’re wrong. I’ve become convinced that this life isn’t the end, and if that’s true, then the greatest investment isn’t ultimately in a business, a bank account, or a reputation—it’s in the kind of person you become and where you stand before God. Just something to think about.
